What’s in this Magazine
The aim of the Visit Pietrelcina Magazine is to offer a broader look into this area because there is more to see and do in and around Pietrelcina than you would imagine.
For instance, although it is a quiet and peaceful area, rich in natural beauty and animal life, it also has many cultural and social events. The area has not been over-developed so consequently wild flowers and nature abound everywhere. This means that foraging for fruits, berries and edible plants can still be done during long, interesting walks.
Take a Closer Look
History plays a very large part in the culture and around every corner there are many local tales to be told. We will do our best to bring you some of these inside stories as well as pointing out the hidden places that most locals know by heart. As well as this, you can download some light inspirational reading from our ‘Stories’ section.
Last, but not least, is the possibility of learning more about the place where St. Padre Pio was born and getting to know the background of one of the greatest saints of the 20th Century. Looking at Pietrelcina is like looking at his friends and family. This updated version of the web site will allow us to add more content and up to date news than ever before.
